Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction protocols and fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Develop quantum software frameworks compatible with major quantum computing platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum circuits
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at international conferences
- Secure research grants and partnerships with academic institutions and government agencies
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing education initiatives
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit design
- Strong foundation in quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and information theory
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields in top-tier journals
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms and quantum simulators
- Proven ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of quantum machine learning and quantum cryptography principles
