Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop error correction protocols and quantum circuit optimization techniques
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to improve qubit stability and quantum gate fidelity
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present research at international quantum computing conferences
- Develop quantum software frameworks compatible with emerging quantum hardware architectures
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or IEEE Quantum journals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction, fault tolerance, and quantum decoherence
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ) preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced research environments
