Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum solutions for finance, logistics, and pharmaceuticals
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize software-hardware interfaces
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithm development or quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and quantum simulation
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong track record of securing competitive research funding
