Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-corrected quantum systems using topological qubits and superconducting architectures
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum processors with >1000 qubit stability
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with DARPA and NASA on quantum-resistant cybersecurity initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum research projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit optimization
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Strong background in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (superconducting, trapped ions, photonic)
- Deep knowledge of quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE, QAOA)
- Ability to secure SBIR grants and collaborate with government agencies
- Excellent communication skills for technical presentations to C-suite and government stakeholders
