Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation strategies for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into experimental protocols
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patentable quantum computing innovations
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize software-hardware interfaces
- Present findings at international quantum computing conferences and symposiums
- Contribute to quantum computing education initiatives for next-generation researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding (NSF, DoE, etc.)
