Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to prototype quantum processors and error-correction methodologies
- Develop hybrid classical-quantum computing frameworks for enterprise clients
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Author white papers and technical specifications for quantum computing standards
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-resistant cybersecurity protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Computational Mathematics with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent journals on quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and parallel processing architectures
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement, decoherence, and topological quantum computing
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into functional quantum applications
- Strong background in machine learning frameworks applicable to quantum data processing
