Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum solutions
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at global conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private investors
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum programming frameworks
- Published record in quantum information science (h-index > 15)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfaces
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and topology
- Experience securing government and corporate research funding
- Proven ability to lead high-performance technical teams
