Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in designing and implementing quantum algorithms for commercial applications

- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit architectures for specific use cases
- Secure $10M+ in federal and private research grants for quantum initiatives
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and speak at global tech conferences
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Establish partnerships with CERN, MIT, and other leading research institutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Computational Mathematics from Tier 1 institution
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in NISQ-era hardware constraints and mitigation strategies
- Proven track record of securing government research grants (NSF/DOE/DARPA)
- Strong background in machine learning integration with quantum systems
- Experience leading teams of 10+ researchers in high-stakes projects
