Responsibilities
- Safely walk dogs in groups or one-on-one while maintaining control and comfort
- Provide feeding, hydration, and medication administration as specified
- Monitor pet health and behavior, reporting any concerns promptly
- Maintain detailed client notes and schedule updates
- Transport pets to vet appointments or daycare as needed
- Clean equipment and sanitize handling areas after each use
- Build trust with pet owners through consistent communication
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk 5+ miles daily
- Strong knowledge of canine behavior and handling
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Current pet CPR/first aid certification preferred
- Experience with large or reactive dogs a plus
- Local San Diego residency required
