Responsibilities
- Walk and Exercise: Safely walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments to ensure they receive adequate physical exercise.
- Behavior Monitoring: Observe the dog's behavior and health during walks and report any unusual signs to the owner.
- Maintenance: Collect and dispose of dog waste immediately to maintain cleanliness in public spaces.
- Communication: Provide daily updates to pet owners regarding their dog's mood, energy levels, and bathroom habits.
- Safety First: Ensure all dogs are properly leashed and secured in vehicles before and after walks.
- Basic Care: Assist with simple tasks such as refilling water bowls or administering medication if trained and authorized.
Qualifications
- Passion for Animals: A genuine love for dogs and a patient, friendly demeanor.
- Reliability: Ability to arrive on time and be punctual for scheduled shifts.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to walk up to 5 miles per day and lift up to 30 lbs if necessary.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills to interact with pet owners and team members.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred but not always required).
