Responsibilities
- Safely walk 2-4 dogs simultaneously in designated DC neighborhoods
- Provide fresh water and administer basic care (medication if certified)
- Maintain detailed digital logs of walks and pet behavior
- Handle emergency situations calmly and professionally
- Adhere to strict client instructions regarding routes and protocols
- Transport pets to vet appointments when required
- Communicate effectively with pet parents via app updates
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog handling experience
- Valid DC driver's license with clean record
- Reliable smartphone with GPS capability
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk 5+ hours daily
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong time management and punctuality
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Must pass background check and drug screening
