Responsibilities
- Safely walk and supervise dogs (1-4 at a time) in designated Durham areas
- Administer medications and provide specialized care as needed
- Maintain detailed client logs and pet behavior reports
- Ensure pet safety through proper leash handling and route planning
- Build strong relationships with pet owners through consistent communication
- Participate in weekend and holiday coverage rotations
- Adhere to all animal welfare best practices and company protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Current pet first aid/CPR certification
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs and walk 3-5 miles daily
- Exceptional communication and time management skills
- Strong understanding of dog behavior and body language
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Availability for early mornings, evenings, and weekends
