Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, checking back with guests to ensure satisfaction.
- Handle point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately and process payments securely.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including resetting tables between seatings.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to resolve any issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a server or in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and credit transactions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
