Responsibilities
- Greet all guests warmly upon arrival, manage the waitlist efficiently, and escort them to their tables in a timely manner.
- Present menus with knowledge of daily specials, ingredients, and wine pairings to enhance the guest experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems and relay them to the kitchen with precision.
- Serve food and drinks according to established service standards, ensuring plating presentation is impeccable.
- Anticipate guest needs proactively, refilling water glasses and clearing tables to maintain a pristine dining environment.
- Handle payment transactions accurately and process gratuities efficiently.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food and wine, with the ability to make recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Micros, OpenTable).
