Responsibilities
- Provide attentive table service, including order taking, food delivery, and beverage refills
- Master menu details and daily specials to recommend dishes confidently
- Process payments accurately through POS systems and reconcile cash drawers
- Collaborate with kitchen/bar staff to ensure seamless service flow
- Maintain clean, well-stocked dining areas and service stations
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly
- Adhere to food safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Contribute to positive team dynamics during peak rushes
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year restaurant/server experience preferred
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Basic knowledge of food safety and allergen awareness
- Flexible availability including nights/weekends
- Valid Illinois Food Handler's certification (or ability to obtain)
