Responsibilities
- Provide attentive table service, including order taking, beverage refills, and plate clearing
- Master menu knowledge, ingredient details, and allergen information
- Process payments accurately using POS systems and handle cash transactions
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery
- Maintain clean dining areas and restock supplies
- Resolve guest inquiries with professionalism and positivity
- Upsell specials and high-margin items to enhance guest experience
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year restaurant/server experience preferred
- TX Food Handler certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order accuracy
- Team player with problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of Austin's food scene a plus
