Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy during overnight shifts
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures in emergency and urgent care settings
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation following HIPAA protocols
- Manage inventory and restock medical supplies for overnight operations
- Coordinate patient admissions and transfers between departments
- Respond to emergency situations calmly and efficiently
- Collaborate with overnight nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs overnight
- Valid Georgia driver's license (for occasional transport duties)
