Responsibilities
- Manage Front Desk Operations: Greet patients and visitors warmly, verify their information, and direct them to the appropriate medical staff or waiting area.
- Phone & Communication: Answer multi-line phones professionally, screen and route calls, and take accurate messages with urgency.
- Schedule Management: Assist with appointment scheduling, patient confirmations, and rescheduling to optimize clinic flow and reduce no-shows.
- Administrative Support: Handle incoming mail, maintain filing systems, perform data entry, and manage insurance verification tasks.
- Office Maintenance: Monitor and restock reception area supplies, ensure the lobby is clean and welcoming, and assist with light errands.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of professional receptionist or administrative support experience preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and electronic health records systems (EHR) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a polite and professional demeanor.
- Organization: Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy medical office.
