Responsibilities
- Safely walk multiple dogs simultaneously while maintaining control and ensuring their comfort
- Provide fresh water and monitor pets for signs of distress during outings
- Follow specific care instructions from pet owners regarding walking routes and restrictions
- Maintain detailed logs of each dog's behavior, exercise duration, and any observations
- Communicate professionally with clients via text/email updates and photos during walks
- Handle waste disposal responsibly and maintain cleanliness of equipment and vehicles
- Adapt to various weather conditions and terrain while prioritizing pet safety
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable insured vehicle
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior, breeds, and handling techniques
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk up to 5 miles daily
- Excellent time management and punctuality skills
- Current pet CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass background check and provide professional references
- Must be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
