Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly upon entering the store and provide assistance as needed.
- Operate the POS system efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately.
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with strict accuracy and accountability.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including scanning items and bagging purchases.
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining product displays to ensure a tidy store environment.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction.
- Cross-train in deli or stockroom duties as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is a plus but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Basic computer proficiency.
