Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and gift card payments.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area at all times.
- Bag groceries and assist with carrying items to customers' vehicles when necessary.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and customer complaints with a positive attitude.
- Monitor the register for accurate cash counts and reconcile daily deposits.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail or cashier experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with POS systems.
