Responsibilities
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) Systems: Efficiently ring up purchases, handle cash, credit, and digital payments, and process returns.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries about products, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Accuracy: Verify prices, scan items accurately, and reconcile daily sales reports to ensure all transactions are balanced.
- Assistance: Help customers with bags, provide information on store promotions, and support the floor team during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous cash handling or retail experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Skills: Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Demeanor: Professional, friendly, and approachable attitude.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and some evenings.
