- Process customer sales transactions quickly and accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service throughout their shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and check payments with strict attention to detail and accuracy.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and checking expiration dates.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area at all times.
- Resolve customer inquiries and issues professionally and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth store operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is a plus but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle money with precision.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
