Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with a warm, welcoming smile and provide exceptional customer service.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries with patience and professionalism.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies at all times.
- Assist with bagging items and maintaining the overall appearance of the sales floor.
- Monitor the cash drawer to ensure all transactions are balanced at the end of the shift.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
