About the Role
As a Part-Time Cashier, you will be the face of our brand. You will be responsible for ensuring that every customer leaves our store with a smile. We value accuracy, efficiency, and a friendly demeanor above all else.
Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and check payments with strict accuracy and accountability.
- Manage the checkout area, ensuring it remains clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist with inventory management and stocking shelves as needed during slower periods.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is a plus but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions with high accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work weekends and holidays.
