Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with a smile.
- Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments efficiently.
- Manage returns and exchanges in accordance with company policy.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Assist with bagging items and maintaining a tidy sales floor.
- Monitor inventory levels and alert management when stock is low.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to pass a background check.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.
