Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and check payments with strict adherence to company cash-handling policies.
- Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries, and resolve any issues or complaints professionally.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with inventory management and stocking shelves as needed.
- Process returns, exchanges, and gift card transactions according to standard procedures.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a seamless shopping experience for all customers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is preferred but not required (training provided).
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate cash handling and change calculation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
