Responsibilities
- Customer Excellence: Provide a welcoming and professional atmosphere for all customers, actively listening to their needs and recommending the best equipment solutions.
- Product Knowledge: Develop deep knowledge of our inventory, including camping gear, hiking equipment, and technical apparel to assist customers effectively.
- Merchandising: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor by restocking shelves, folding merchandise, and ensuring displays are eye-catching.
- Point of Sale Operations: Efficiently operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, and handle returns or exchanges with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Equipment Handling: Safely demonstrate and handle heavy equipment and gear, ensuring all items are in proper working condition before checkout.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to achieve sales targets and support store operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers and team members.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks related to stocking and display setup.
- Equipment Provided: Must be comfortable using company-provided uniform and equipment standards.
