Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently.
- Greet all customers warmly and provide exceptional service at the checkout counter.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Keep the checkout area tidy, organized, and stocked with shopping bags and receipt paper.
- Assist customers with locating products and answering general inquiries about store operations.
- Monitor the cash drawer at the end of every shift and reconcile daily sales reports.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions with high accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
