Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with a friendly smile and provide exceptional customer service.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and check payments with strict accuracy and adhere to cash handling policies.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with bagging items and maintaining the overall appearance of the sales floor.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and store policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is a plus but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation is required.
