Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Ring up sales accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries, and resolve any issues to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Financial Accuracy: Handle cash, credit, and check payments with strict adherence to company security and reconciliation procedures.
- Store Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shopping environment for all customers.
- Merchandising: Help with restocking shelves, folding clothes, and organizing displays to keep the store looking its best.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with management and team members to ensure smooth daily operations and meet sales goals.
- Checkout Support: Operate bagging stations and ensure all customer bags are handled with care.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not mandatory; we provide comprehensive training.
- Skills: Strong basic math skills and the ability to count money accurately.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required.
