Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, processing cash, credit, and debit transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Handle cash registers and perform end-of-shift cash balancing and reconciliation.
- Assist customers with locating products, answering inquiries, and processing returns or exchanges.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout area, including restocking bags and supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure store operations run smoothly during peak hours.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
