Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately ring up customer purchases using the POS system and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries, and resolve any issues with a positive attitude.
- Inventory Support: Assist in scanning and organizing products to maintain an orderly sales floor.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean, tidy, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Return Processing: Handle returns and exchanges efficiently while adhering to company policies.
- Cash Management: Perform end-of-shift cash balancing and drawer reconciliation.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not required; we will train the right candidate.
- Math Skills: Strong basic math skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
