Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers and resolving inquiries.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict accuracy and accountability.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with bagging groceries and maintaining overall store cleanliness.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and pleasant shopping experience.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle returns or exchanges.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability to work evenings and weekends.
