Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases efficiently and accurately at the point of sale (POS).
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict attention to accuracy.
- Greet customers warmly and answer questions regarding products and services.
- Assist with bagging items and maintaining a clean, organized checkout area.
- Reconcile cash drawers at the end of the shift and report any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is a plus but not required.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable transportation is required.
