Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately ring up customer purchases using POS systems and handle various payment methods including cash, credit, and digital wallets.
- Customer Assistance: Greet customers warmly, answer questions about products, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area tidy, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Cash Management: Reconcile daily sales, manage the cash drawer, and balance the register at the end of the shift.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth store operations.
- Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, loss prevention procedures, and health & safety standards.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail or cashier roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Schedule: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Technology: Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology.
