Responsibilities
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently to process customer transactions, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving any issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout area and sales floor.
- Handle cash deposits and ensure all receipts and change are accurate.
- Assist with inventory management, including tagging and stocking merchandise as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales targets and store goals.
- Adhere to all company policies, including loss prevention and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; previous cashier or customer service experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong basic math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
