Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently and accurately, processing payments via cash, credit, and debit cards.
- Greet every customer with a warm smile and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Scan, bag, and organize merchandise while adhering to company presentation standards.
- Handle cash drawers with precision, balancing end-of-shift reports and minimizing errors.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe sales floor for all customers and staff.
- Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and issues professionally and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily sales goals and operational targets.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is preferred but not required.
- Strong math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with basic computer applications and POS software is a plus.
