Responsibilities
- Conduct hourly patrols of assigned premises using modern surveillance technology
- Monitor CCTV systems and respond to security alerts within 5 minutes
- Screen visitors and verify credentials at access points
- Document all incidents, patrols, and observations in digital logs
- Coordinate with local law enforcement during emergency situations
- Maintain detailed reports of suspicious activities and security breaches
- Operate metal detectors, X-ray machines, and access control systems
Qualifications
- Valid DC Security Guard License (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours during overnight shifts
- Proficient with CCTV monitoring and alarm systems
- Exceptional situational awareness and conflict resolution skills
- Flexible availability between 10 PM - 6 AM (minimum 20 hours/week)
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
