Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and document observations in electronic health records
- Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, mobility, and nutrition
- Perform basic medical procedures under nursing supervision (ECG, phlebotomy)
- Respond to patient calls and alarms promptly following protocol
- Prepare exam rooms and equipment for next-day procedures
- Collaborate with night shift nursing team to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or EMT certification preferred
- Minimum 6 months healthcare or direct patient care experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Reliable transportation for evening/night shifts
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
