Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
- Take patient vitals and medical histories
- Perform EKGs and basic lab tests
- Administer injections and medications
- Manage electronic health records (EHR)
- Schedule appointments and handle billing
- Maintain clean exam rooms and equipment
- Provide patient education and support
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- Strong communication and empathy skills
- Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic)
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Florida MA certification or eligibility
