Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and document observations in electronic health records
- Assist nurses with patient care activities including mobility, hygiene, and feeding
- Respond to emergency calls and perform basic life support interventions
- Prepare exam rooms and equipment for next-day procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during overnight hours
Qualifications
- Current CNA or EMT certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication abilities in high-pressure situations
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs
- Basic computer proficiency for medical documentation
