Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital sign monitoring, EKGs, and specimen collection during overnight hours
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures in emergency and routine settings
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure HIPAA compliance for overnight patient encounters
- Coordinate patient flow and triage urgent cases during low-staffed night hours
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Prepare exam rooms and equipment for next-day operations
- Communicate effectively with on-call physicians and day-shift team members
Qualifications
- Current Texas Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in fast-paced healthcare environment
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail in documentation and medication administration
- Exceptional communication skills for patient interactions and handoffs
- Flexibility to cover variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
