Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional reference services and assist patrons with library resources
- Manage circulation desk operations including check-outs, returns, and renewals
- Organize and maintain physical/digital collections with precision
- Develop and facilitate engaging community programs and workshops
- Implement outreach initiatives to underserved neighborhoods
- Operate integrated library systems (ILS) and technology platforms
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on special projects
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent library experience required
- Proficiency with integrated library systems (e.g., Koha, Sierra)
- Strong customer service orientation with conflict resolution skills
- Knowledge of cataloging principles and Dewey Decimal System
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and navigate library shelving systems
- Experience with digital literacy instruction preferred
- Valid Tennessee driver's license for outreach programs
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates strongly encouraged
