Responsibilities
- Manage circulation desk operations including check-outs, returns, and renewals
- Assist patrons with catalog navigation and digital resource access
- Oversee periodical and media collection maintenance
- Coordinate community outreach programs and literacy events
- Implement inventory management systems for library assets
- Provide exceptional customer service to diverse patrons
- Support inter-library loan and resource sharing initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Library Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years library or customer service experience
- Proficiency with integrated library systems (ILS) like Sierra
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of cataloging standards (MARC, Dewey)
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
