Responsibilities
- Manage patron check-in/check-out processes using integrated library systems (ILS)
- Assist patrons with locating materials and answering reference inquiries
- Process new acquisitions and maintain accurate catalog records
- Facilitate computer classes and tech support for community members
- Shelve materials and maintain orderly library environments
- Coordinate community outreach events and literacy programs
- Support digital resource access (eBooks, databases, e-learning platforms)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly (training provided)
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to stand for extended periods and push loaded book carts
- Valid California Driver's License (for branch travel)
- Spanish fluency highly desirable (not required)
- Pass background check and fingerprinting
