Responsibilities
- Shelve and organize library materials accurately using the Dewey Decimal System.
- Assist patrons with locating books, using computers, and navigating library resources.
- Operate library circulation desk systems, including check-in, check-out, and fines processing.
- Perform basic reference inquiries and direct patrons to appropriate services.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of library displays and events.
- Perform light inventory and assist in the processing of new acquisitions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Library Science preferred.
- Previous experience in a customer service or library setting is a plus.
- Proficient in basic computer operations and typing.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
