Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with locating materials and using library technology and catalog systems.
- Sort, shelve, and organize library collections (books, DVDs, periodicals) to ensure accuracy.
- Process new books and media, including checking in and checking out items and renewals.
- Provide exceptional customer service at the circulation desk and help desks.
- Answer phone inquiries and assist with website navigation and digital resources.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all visitors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a customer service or library setting is preferred but not required.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, and library management systems).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 30 lbs).
- Effective communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
