Responsibilities
- Manage circulation desk operations, including check-ins/check-outs and patron account maintenance
- Assist patrons with digital resources, catalog navigation, and research inquiries
- Oversee material processing, including cataloging, shelving, and inventory management
- Coordinate and facilitate community programs, workshops, and literacy events
- Maintain organized, accessible collections and ensure optimal library aesthetics
- Provide reference services using both print and digital resources
- Collaborate with team on collection development and space optimization
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; library science coursework preferred
- Minimum 1 year library or customer service experience
- Proficiency with integrated library systems (ILS) and digital resources
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of library classification systems (Dewey Decimal)
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
