Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with catalog searches, reference inquiries, and digital resource navigation
- Manage circulation desk operations including check-ins/check-outs and overdue processing
- Organize and maintain physical/digital collections with systematic shelving and inventory
- Conduct outreach programs for community engagement and literacy promotion
- Support technology assistance for patrons using public computers and library systems
- Process interlibrary loans and maintain vendor relationships for resource acquisition
- Contribute to collection development through acquisition recommendations and deselection
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Library Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years library or customer service experience
- Proficiency with integrated library systems (e.g., Sierra, Evergreen)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Basic knowledge of metadata standards and cataloging principles
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Spanish language proficiency preferred for community outreach
